"Her obituary is beautifully written for a beautiful woman who was incredibly kind and generous. She always made me feel so special by remembering our last conversations and things about my children - even when much time had passed since we last saw each other. Many prayers and thoughts go out to the entire Stamper/Ellerbrook family during this hard time."

"Edna was a true gift to all who were fortunate enough to make her acquaintance. Her enthusiasm for life was inspiring. She spent a number of winters at Gulf Haven in Sarasota which is where I met her. My condolences to the family."

"Today when I learned of Edna's passing, I had a vision of my parents, the Cassady's, the Adams and the Stampers sitting around a table playing cards up in Heaven having a wee of a time! What great friends they were and I have a lot of fun childhood memories of time spent with these families. Edna is my Godmother and I often thought of her as my second mom as she and my mom, Phyllis, were the best of friends and spent a lot of time together. I'm so happy I was able to talk with Edna recently and tell her I loved her! In our conversations she always told me what was going on in her big loving family. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know how much she will be missed. She certainly left a legacy of love!"

"Herb and I want to offer our condolences to Susan and the entire Stamper family. We met Edna during our winters in Siesta Key when we all stayed at Gulf Haven. She instantly became one of our favorite people, but we were not alone in that feeling. She was truly genuine, loving, and calming in her manner. Some say that a person who has passed on will be missed, but in this case it is certainly true. She was a very special lady and one whom we will always remember with fondness. "
