James "Peck" Evans Jr. of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was 67 years old. James was born to the late James Earl Evans Sr. and Beatrice Evans on March 30, 1951 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. After serving in the United States Navy from 1969 - 1971 as a fire fighter on the USS Orion (AS-18), James worked as a truck driver for many years, and for several different transportation lines. James was a kind man, and a hard worker who loved his family. James is survived by his wife, Belinda; children Christopher Evans (Karri), Jennifer Evans Blakley (Dale), Kevin Evans, Julie Evans, and Kyle Michael Evans. Also surviving are two brothers, Lee Roy Pierce and Robert Evans, as well as seven grandchildren. Services for James Evans are Tuesday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home - Chapel of the Chimes, 1234 Prospect St. in Indianapolis with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. The Twitty family and The Evans family have been close and share a link thru our beloved Caleb. We will pray for you and your family in this time of grieving. Peck went through so much pain but now he has been released from this world and into God's arms in Heaven where all pain and sorrow is washed away. George, Jeanie and Donnie Twitty.
