Condolence & Memory Journal

My deepest sympathy to Sharon's family and friends. The class of 1962 will miss her cheery smile and greeting whenever we met. She was such an important member of our close knit class and greatly appreciated by all of us for her dedicated planning and organization for the many reunions and dinners we have shared over the years.

Earth's loss is heaven's gain. In her lifetime, who ever was more sweet, kind, helpful, and encouraging than Sharon Myers, Class of '62 ? In classes, for 10 years, our seats were always a reach away. She served her Savior sacrificially at work and in church. I will miss her here, I pray to see her "there" (heaven). God's comfort to her family, classmates, and friends. Sharon was an integral member of the Quarterly Dinner Committee since it's founding sixteen years ago. She always had good ideas and concern for her fellow classmates. She was also part of the Reunion Committee for the last 7 years. Having our fifty-fifth reunion at Isom Elementary, the grade school imbued with so many memories for long-time Greenwood residents, was Sharon's idea and what a great one it was! Everyone had a wonderful evening and revisited the school of their youth. Sharon was also very active in the Alumni Association serving as Secretary-Treasure as well as many other tasks that called for attention to detail, which she was quite proficient at. She will be missed by many, especially those who knew her well enough to call her friend. Rest well, weary traveler.

Thank you to all who have assisted throughout her life, but especially in these last few weeks. Church members, friends, relatives, visiting nurses have made her departure less difficult. A gift has been given to Reformend Presbyterian Church of Southside Indianapolis in her name.

When considering words to use in paying tribute to Sharon Myers, my heart and mind are overflowing with feelings of joy and many more adjectives than I will share. Here are a few that come to mind immediately as I remember her beautiful, kind, loving, giving, generous spirit countenance and demeanor. Sharon was always positive and encouraging in every way and every circumstance. I remember her beautiful smiling face as I reminisce times together from grade 1 12 and until her passing. Reflecting on our times together I find myself smiling as I write. Sharon is a friend whose name is written in my heart forever. She was a true blessing our Lord Jesus shared with all who knew her. I am thankful to be considered her friend and thankful she is now in heaven at peace with no pain on her radiant beautiful smiling face.

We didn't know Sharon very well, but she was so faithful, courageous, steady, and caring. We will miss her
presence with us at church, though she is in the presence of her greatest Love, the Lord Jesus.

Our deepest condolences regarding the passing of Mrs. Myers goes out to her remaining family and friends during this time of mourning. While considering her obituary, we were reminded of the biblical words of Jesus that say, "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need." It seems that Mrs. Myers really lived those words. As she rests, continue to keep her memory alive and remember the biblical promise that God "is close to those broken at heart."- the Brennans
