What a wonderful, kind, warm and loving person. She was a second mother to me for years and a dear friend for years after that.

Mary embodied what it is to be a Christian. Heaven's Gain our Loss...

Mary embodied kindness and gentleness. She had a way to make each child in her care feel special and loved. Mary cared for both Sarah and Megan and we all loved her. One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was to contact Aunt Mary as we began our family. We are fortunate to have had Aunt Mary in our lives.

What a truly special lady she was. She will be greatly missed. My family and I are so sorry that we will not be there to say our good-byes, but please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Judy, Chris, Anne Marie, and Michael Paprocki

It goes without saying that Mary Hurst loved children! She loved the children at FBC Greenwood too and coordinated the nursery there for decades. As I was the Children's director, she called me every Sat. morning for 3 1/2 years to let me know which parishioners would be by her side in that nursery the next day. I can still hear her sweet voice saying, "Good morning, Karen." I want to say thank you to her family for sharing Aunt Mary with us for those many years. She was an integral part of the ministry there at the church and made my job that much easier. Blessings to the family during this difficult time

Mary was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She had a loving, gentle way that made everyone feel welcome and special. What a gift to have known her for 55 years!

Mary was such a loving and generous woman. My mom, Jean Anderson, loved her so much and considered her a true friend for many years.
