Tribute & Message From The Family

Betty June (Pierson) Edwards, age 95, passed away on February 19, 2020. She was born May 26, 1924 in Wanamaker, Indiana to Grover and Bertha (Reed) Pierson and lived there the rest of her life.Betty attended school in Franklin Township and graduated from high school in New Bethel. She met, fell in love, and married Alfred E. Edwards on July 9, 1946. They were the proud parents of 4 daughters and were married 54 years until Alfred's death in 2000. She was a long time bookkeeper at High Point Oil Company, periodically taking a sabbatical to care for her children and then returning to her position at High Point until her retirement. After retirement, she became an avid reader of mysteries and an online solitaire player. She and Al enjoyed travel, visiting Mammoth Cave, Charleston, S.C., Carlsbad Caverns, Florida, and the Grand Canyon among others within the United States. The high point of their travels was an overseas vacation to Europe, visiting London, Paris, Heidelberg and the Rhine valley. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, her parents and her brother Thomas. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Al) Pelko; daughters Sandra (Joe) Del Rosario, Janet (Tim) Lange, Barbara Edwards ,and Judi (Ken) Kelshaw; and grandchildren Sammuel, Benjamin, and Thomas Lange, Elizabeth and Julia Del Rosario, and Jon (Allison) Morton; and great-grandson Nicholas Morton. Condolence & Memory Journal

It has been a true pleasure getting to know Betty and spend time with her the last few years. I will miss her very much. Betty was so fortunate to have such a caring family who did so much for her to enable her to stay in her home and be as independent as possible for so long. I know she loved and appreciated you all so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you for your loss.
