Condolence & Memory Journal

Chris was such a wonderful spirit. Years ago, he happily greeted our family when we arrived at church - especially talking with my children and making them smile. His loving personality will be missed greatly, but what a blessing to know he is with our Lord and Savior now.

Mr. and Mrs. Bowling, Rachel, and the rest of the Bowling Family:

It broke my heart to hear of Chris's passing last week. What a ray of sunshine he was to so many people! Chris had that positive attitude and personality that endeared him to everyone he met. I so enjoyed your tribute video to Chris - it beautifully captured his strong family bond, his faith, his love for everyone, and his sense that nothing could hold him back! Condolences to all.

South Wayne was the first place I met this awesome guy. He was always amazing. In harder times I would seek him out at Chucks to just get my day brightened up. My wife knew him from FC and was shocked when he remembered all the things. Man, I'm sorry I didnt reach out more. I know you are brightening that sky up more than any other. Thanks for 30 years of memories.

Chris I will always remember your friendly smile and your eagerness to talk and listen to me. You were an encouragement to me in that you never let your disabilities keep you from doing life and loving others. That will stick with me forever. Until we meet again dear brother in Christ!

Chris was such a sweet guy and great friend to all. I remember many times talking to Chris on the phone when he would call to talk to our daughter Danielle. If she wasn't home Chris and I would talk for a little while. He always made me smile. I know that he is sharing his smile now in heaven and is out of his chair and finally is free. Prayers to all of you who loved him.

Love love love Chris...he graduated with our son Michael from FC. He and I would greet each other at the Creek with squeals of Joy for Jesus. My heart cries for his family and friends that are living dailynwith the loss of his presence. But, just a moment of glimpsing into heaven and knowing Chris is bouncing and jumping in praise of His Savior...brings moments of happy peace in moments of sadness

Chris did indeed light up a room with his smile and attitude of Faith in Christ! He would and could unintentionally make people think about their trivial little complaints, aches or pains as he charged along through this earthly walk. He is missed here, but is singing his heart out at the Throne of God!!

Chris and I became friends at church several years ago. We started chatting while I was volunteering at the Welcome Center desk. I will miss him so much! He would always give me an update on his routine and life. Chris desired prayers being said for him and any issues. He believed deeply in prayer to our Loving God. He would get so excited about raising money for Special Olympics. If Chris was put in charge of anything, it was done with gusto and commitment! I will miss that smile, along with many others! I am sad for me, but happy for my friend because I know that he has a new body with his JESUS IN HEAVEN!!

I will especially miss talking with you on Sunday mornings. I loved singing with you in choir and I know you are singing with God's angels today. Rejoice and again I say rejoice sweet friend, until we meet again! Janet Shelton and Dave Dunstan

Chris was such a vibrant and endearing person! I remember when he worked at the movie theater years ago and was always so cheerful and welcoming to guests. I also attend the Creek and remember very few (if any) occasions where he wasn't sitting right in the center of the large atrium greeting guests and getting to know people. He was truly an inspiration and blessed so many lives. At the heart of his character was Jesus and am so thankful he is now communing with him in person!

We grew up playing at Uncle Denis Home... When the kids were little Chucky Cheese was the place because I knew you would be there and I would get to catch up with you. Your smile was so infectious and no one could be sad around you. Our World is sadder but Heaven is a place where I know your without pain and discomfort, walking tall and sharing the Joy you brought to all around you. Rest Easy and know you are Loved and will be missed.

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, come to me.
You didn't deserve what you went through, so he gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best.

Estil, Karen, and Family -

Our deepest condolences for your loss of Chris. He was a blessing and joy who touched our lives so deeply. We love you.

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth." This proves that your heart is in the heart of the wise. So, continue to mourn the loss of your precious children, as I know you will, and continue to relive your beautiful memories of them and the fabulous times that you had together.
