Phil was born on November 11, 1945 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph and Delores Nagle. He was a 1964 Franklin Central graduate where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He was a proud veteran of The United States Navy. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Janet Meacham Nagle. Phil worked at RCA for over 30 years until the plant closed and he then worked for Diamond Chain before retiring. He enjoyed staying busy at NAPA Auto Parts after his retirement. Phil's great joy was his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Janet Nagle; two daughters, Melissa McCollom (Doug) of Beech Grove and Stacie Nanney (Steve) of Greenwood; one sister, Donna Brown (Ron) of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Alesha, Audrie, Devan, Bristin, Caleb, Kaleena, Seth and Emma; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, the late Doug Nagle.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Southside Christian School where three of his grandchildren graduated and the two youngest still attend. Donations can be made online at southsidechristian.info or sent to the school at 6801 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
