Tribute & Message From The Family

Mary "Aileen" Boyd was born and raised in Franklin, KY, the daughter of Alvis and Annie Davenport. On March 19, 1951, Aileen and Bob were married in Franklin, KY. After Bob served in the Korean War, they moved to Indianapolis. They were married 50 years, 6 months.

Aileen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Kathy, plus 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also, her sisters, Frances (Gertie), Helen, Ruby, and one brother, Larry.

Aileen retired after 30+-years from Best Foods, Inc. in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for most of her life. She served in several leadership responsibilities at her local church and enjoyed attending various denominational state and national conventions. In addition to her family and church, she enjoyed camping and fishing on the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers.

In the end, she had no fear of death, but looked forward to being reunited with her lifelong friend and husband, Bob, her parents, her dear sisters, Ann and Dorothy, plus countless other family and friends that preceded her in death. In her last days, she was faithful and knew that she would either be healed and see her family here, or she would be healed and see her family in heaven. Today she has no pain, no worn-out body, no tears. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Aileen has a way of making you feel very special. I loved her and always remembers her kindness for us all. We couldn't wait to see them when they came to visit. Best aunt and example of kindness and compassion. Will miss her but look forward to seeing her another day.

Aileen, you couldn't have have a sweeter aunt to me. I treasure my memories I have of coming up to visit and coming to see you and Bob when I was growing up. I always thought you were the classiest lady I had ever met and admired and loved you very much. You were one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Give my mom and Grandma and everyone else a hug from me there in Heaven. Love you, Angela Davenport Pearson
