Tribute & Message From The Family

Lawrence "Larry" E. Hartman passed away on August 31, 2020. He was 72 years old. Larry was born on March 6, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late James and Margaret Hartman. After graduating from Beech Grove high school in 1966, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Larry married the love of his life, Rosalinda Santellana on September 23, 1978. Together, they were blessed with one daughter, Adrienne. He went on to become an optical technician and practiced for nearly fifty years. Larry loved to fly and earned his pilot's license and several other aviation certifications. Larry was a faithful member of Grace Evangelical Church, now known as Doxa Bible Church where he assisted with technology and sound in the "Upper Room". In his 72 years he had many hobbies including motorcycles, flight aerobatics, golf, and even earned the rank of black belt in karate. Larry was a teacher at heart, instructing students in the art of karate and piloting as well as teaching Gods word. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Rose; daughter, Adrienne P. McCormick (Joshua); grandchildren Stella and Grant McCormick; sister Kathy Crane, and brothers, James, Timothy, and Dennis Hartman. Services for Larry Hartman are Thursday, September, 3 at 11:00 A.M. at Doxa Bible Church, 5905 E. Southport Rd., Indianapolis, IN. 46237, with visitation at the church on Wednesday, September 2 from 5:00-7:30 P.M. Burial will take place after the service at New Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory – Franklin Township Chapel. Donations are suggested to Doxa Bible Church, or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at, or envelopes will be available at the church.

Larry kept our Praise Team "on track" with his expertise in the "upper room" sound booth. He was always there to encourage us, and I will miss him. He was an important part of our Grace family.
