Tribute & Message From The Family

Stephanie (Laffoon) Rexroat, 48, of Indianapolis passed away February 6, after a brief battle with leukemia. She was born in Lafayette, IN on March 1, 1972 to Dean and Jodie Laffoon. Stephanie graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1990. She was magna cum laude when she earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana
Wesleyan University in April 2015.

She married Ed Rexroat in May 2014. They loved to travel and were avid
Colts and Notre Dame football fans. She was a Contract Consultant at Roche Diagnostics where she worked since 2001. Her true passion was giving to others. She volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, Dress for Success, God's Bounty and Zoe's Bone Marrow Buddies. Stephanie was known to give so much of her time and support to so many different organizations.

Stephanie is survived by her loving husband and parents; sister Lori (Taz) Stevens of Virginia; Stepdaughters Shelby Rexroat and Sydney Rexroat of Texas. She was the proud "Loli"of Grandson Benjamin and Granddaughter Addyson. She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents Bud & Mary Alice Aldridge, Myron & Eleanor Laffoon and her precious cocker spaniel, Parker.

At her request, no service will be held. As her passion for volunteering and donating to others was so strong, donations to God's Bounty 8946 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis. would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Oh Steph, I cannot believe you are gone from this earth. I know you are having a blast running and playing with sweet Parker. Arranging everything for everyone to be comfortable up there, making sure no one is left without. I'll always cherish the many laughs and all the shenanigans. My two favorite memories... Laughing till we cried at work for 1.5 solid days when we had a temporary neighbor that made random noises and taco salad Thursdays! Let's not forget all of the volunteer stuff together! Thank you for always looking out for those in need.

Ed, Jodie, Dean, Lori and Taz,
I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort and peace.
Stephanie befriended me at work when I started at Roche in 2006. She knew I was new to the area and quickly told me 'you are going to get involved'. She was part of the Indy Ambassadors organization and we did lots of volunteering events together. The wine ones were the funnest and she was always the one who found us something to do on the weekends. She was always there to help me too. She was a life long friend to me. She was the type of friend where you just pick up the conversation even if you hadn't seen her in months. We would meet at our favorite Mexican place to catch up on our families and eat chips and salsa!
She had a servants heart. Until we see each other again! Love ya Steph!

This breaks my heart. My prayer for peace and comfort are extended to the family. I started at Roche the same area in the same year as Steph. I always talk about coworkers being extended family. Even though our career paths took us in different directions, I know we would have picked up right where we left off if we had crossed paths again. She will be missed.

I am in disbelief and deeply saddened to hear the news of Stephanie's passing. Stephanie was one of the very first people I got to know at Roche and we shared many new hire sales training classes together. She brought so much joy to the classroom! Much of what I know about contracts today is because of her. Her smile and laugh were absolutely contagious and every interaction with her was always full of positivity. I can actually hear her laughing in this lovely photo chosen and the ray of light she brought into this world will truly be missed. I'm sending my deepest condolences to her loved ones and hope their memories will carry them as they navigate through this incredibly hard time.

I can't believe you're gone, Steph! I will never forget celebrating your 30th birthday in the airport in GA, when we were traveling for work; how you taught me to put salt on my cocktail napkin to keep my glass from sticking; or the nearly 20 years we worked together. I was so excited to work closely with you again and I will miss you. You were a great co-worker and friend. Your smile and laughter will be sorely missed.
