Mari Kay Darche 85, of Wanamaker, passed away December 27, 2021. She was born December 21, 1936 to the late Montelle and Rhea Heminger in Paris, Il. Mari Kay was a dedicated member of Nativity Catholic Church. She was a devoted Mom and homemaker, a jack of all trades, there truly was nothing she could not do. She took pride in making her house a home and being able to stay home and raise her three children. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her infectious laugh, love of fun and her zest for life. She always had a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. Aunt Mary Kay as I knew was my god mother. She always had the biggest smile on her face and the best laugh. My favorite memory of her was dressing her up as a Christmas tree when my parents were at the hospital. I always loved Christmas Eve at her house and all the treats. She is forever in our hearts

Mari Kay was the best Mother In-law a guy could have. She was always smiling, and in a great mood everyday. I loved teasing her, and make her laugh. I would have done anything for her! We will miss her dearly. She was the best!
