Boyce R. Klutts, 91, passed away Thursday evening, October 27, at Greenwood Village South. He was a long time Greenwood resident.
He was born December 31, 1924 in Indian Trail, NC to Reese B. Klutts and Clara Bell (White) Klutts. He married Betty Sherrill on November 16, 1946 in Charlotte, NC. Survivors include his wife, Betty Klutts of Greenwood; two sons, Wesley R. Klutts (Susan) of Greenwood, and Sherrill R. "Sam" Klutts of LaCrescenta, CA; and three grandsons, Spencer Boyce Valentine, Russell William Valentine, and David Klutts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry Klutts and J. Vaughn Klutts.
Boyce was employed by CSX Corporation, formerly known as B. & O. Railroad, from 1948 till retirement in 1985.
He was an over 50 year member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and Murat Shrine.
Boyce was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in World War II.
Calling will take place from 10-11AM, Monday, at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, with a service to follow at 11AM at the funeral home.
