Obituary for Elias Zarro

December 26, 2017
Greenwood, Indiana

Elias Zarro of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
He was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to pioneers of the faith who were strong believers in the Holy Bible. He was taught by them early in life not to trust in the word of man nor to lean upon the arms of flesh, but to lean upon the Word of God in all aspects of life. Elias had a personal encounter with God at the age of 16, at which time he was saved and filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. He immediately set his heart and mind to serious and prayerful study of the Holy Bible. He preached his first sermon at age 17 and was ordained into full-time ministry at age of 23. Elias was in full-time ministry for more than 50 years, as both an evangelist and pastor. One of the greatest accomplishments of Elias' life was the 30+ blessed years of studying, writing and publication of the unabridged topical reference book, HIS WORD. Elias' ministry has taken him to 28 states and to the countries of England, France, and Italy. He studied at several universities, including Winona Lake School of Theology in Indiana and pastored churches in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, New York and Indiana.
Elias leaves his faithful and loving wife, Linda Anne (Galka) Zarro; one son, Daniel Eli Zarro; one daughter, Leah Zarro Murray (Caleb); two faithful and loving brothers, Salvatore (Marylou) Zarro, Indianapolis and Joel (Cathy) Zarro, St. Charles, MO.
Elias was preceded in death by his faithful and loving parents, Reverend Amato and Mary Iuliano Zarro, Sisters Antonette (Fred) Masuccio, Mary (Mike) Trapasso, Sue (Gil) Curtis, Carmella (George) Breeding and twin his sister, Esther Zarro (Bill) Brocksiek.
Countless faithful and loving nieces, nephews and friends-like-family throughout the USA and overseas.
A viewing and Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29 at Grace Assembly of God Church, 6822 US-31, New White land, IN 46148. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm, until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private.
Jeremiah 29 ~
11) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12) Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
