Obituary

Devoted Christian Emma Jean King passed away Sunday, April 15th at Morristown Manor at 80 years of age.

She was born November 16th, 1937 to parents Lem and Beatrice Shaw in Indianapolis. She attended Manuel High School. And shortly after she married Albert King on April 19th, 1957. In Heaven they'll be celebrating their 61st anniversary. Together they raised 4 children.

She spent her life giving to others, worked many years as a Nurse's Aide, and was the kindest sweetest person to everyone she met. Emma was a faithful active member of Central Wesleyan Church. Emma had a passion for calling and sending cards to invite people to church, as well as greeting newcomers. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches, reading & Bible study, but mostly spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Albert King Jr. and daughter Judy Alcorn, her husband Tom Alcorn, and 4 grandchildren: Jason, Tabbatha, Eric, and Samantha, as well as 6 great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 6 brothers, along with two of her son's Tim and Mike King, and her husband Albert King.

Visitation will be from 5p - 7p on Wednesday, April 18th followed by Funeral services at 12p on Thursday, April 19th at Wilson St. Pierre - Chapel of the Chimes with Pastor Darrel Herring officiating. She will then join her sons and husband for burial at Concordia Cemetery.
