MARKLEVILLE- It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jack E. Jourdan, 66, of Markleville, Indiana and former Evansville resident. Jack passed away peacefully straight into the arms of Jesus at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on July 30, 2020.
He was born September 2, 1953 in Evansville, Indiana and was a Markleville resident since November of 2019.
Jack was a hard worker his entire life and hardly ever sat still. Many who knew Jack referred to him as "Jumpin' Jack Jourdan". His joy and energy were contagious. He was a salesman at CRS One Source for nearly twenty years.
He was a 1971 graduate of Evansville Bosse High School and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana.
Jack was a veteran of the US Air Force having served for six years. He was a long-time member of Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville and attended Catalyst Church in Pendleton, Indiana. Jack loved the Lord and his family so much. His wife and his girls were his pride and joy and he treasured his time with his seven grandchildren. His personality was infectious and anyone who knew Jack loved him. Jack was always a "glass half-full" kind of guy. He enjoyed being outside, traveling and gardening. Jack was kind and loving toward anyone he came into contact with and had the biggest servant's heart. He provided many laughs and was always the life of every party. The ripples of his impact on all the lives he touched will live on forever.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Susan L. (Brockett) Jourdan whom he married June 2, 1973; daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Heuer of Arcadia and Jessica (Marty) Dulworth of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah, Levi, and Samuel Heuer; Marlie, Jax and Hayes Dulworth; and a sister, Vicki Swedenburg of Montgomery, Alabama.
