Kathleen "Kay" Ellen Price, 63, of Pendleton, Indiana passed away January 3, 2019 at her home.
She was born July 18, 1955 in Jay County, Indiana to the late Victor O. and Kathleen Marie (Armitage) Schmit.
Kay was a 1973 graduate of Bryant High School and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Anderson.
She retired as assistant deli manager from Marsh Grocery in Pendleton in 2016 following eight years service; previously she worked at Mace's Grocery in Pendleton for 11 years and Grandma's Treasures in Pendleton for 15 years.
Survivors include husband, Randy D. Price whom she married, October 7, 1978; daughter, Kim (Matt) Gallagher of Anderson; granddaughter, Evelyn Mae Gallagher of Anderson; siblings, Robert "Bob" Schmit of Bryant, Frank (Debbie) Schmit of Dayton, Ohio, Joe (Vickie) Schmit of Florida, Gene (June) Schmit of Bryant, Jerry Schmit of Adrian, Michigan, Esther (Bill) Johnson of Warsaw, Pat (Dennis) Halfman of Carmel, Mike (Barb) Schmit of Illinois, Phil (Cecil) Schmit of Fort Wayne, Paul Schmit of Angola and Jan Konchalski of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Tom Chezem of Pendleton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Victor Schmit and Mary Ann Chezem.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2801 Lincoln St., Anderson, Indiana 46016 with Monsignor Robert L. Sell III officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 and will include a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Kay's family wishes to extend a special thanks to St. Vincent Hospice, Anderson.
