Nevyle F. "Pete" Taylor, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He was 87 years old. Pete was born on October 20, 1932 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to Arthur W. and Iva Marie (Price) Taylor. He married the love of his life, Gathel (Hargis) Taylor on December 30, 1960 and together raised two daughters. Pete worked as a "carman" for Amtrak for many years and also farmed alongside his father. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in August of 1982, and he truly experienced a profound change in his life. Pete was a long time member of Waverly Baptist Church and volunteered to help care for the church grounds. In later years, he was a member of Gracepoint Church. He and Gathel loved to travel; be it by car, train, air or even a cruise ship. They enjoyed Dollywood making several trips there. Pete particularly loved listening to live gospel shows performed by the Kingdom Heirs. Pete was a man of few words who said what he meant, and meant what he said. In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip Winston Taylor and James Travis Taylor; sister, Barbara June Crowe; and sons-in-law William B. Stafford and Joseph K. Ennulat. Pete is survived by his wife, Gathel Taylor; daughters, Robin Stafford and Penny Ennulat; and grandchildren, Katherine Taylor Stafford and Joseph Nevyle Ennulat; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, April 6th with a public memorial to be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory.
