Obituary

Reneé Diane Lynch Parker, 52, of Fishers, IN died unexpectedly at her residence Tuesday evening, August 1, 2017. Renee was born March 30, 1965 in Englewood, CO, and grew up in Nashville and Franklin, TN area. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1983 and Middle Tennessee State University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication.

While living in Tennessee, Reneé met the love of her life Tom Parker. Despite her relocating to Indiana, their love continued to grow. After graduating from college, Tom joined Reneé in Indiana where they were wed on October 10, 1992; together, they enjoyed nearly 20 years of marriage which included a shared passion for music, concerts, NASCAR, and bowling. Of all the life joys they shared none was greater than the birth of their son Justin in 1997. In 2009, a new chapter of their life together began when Tom was diagnosed with renal cell cancer; during his courageous battle, Reneé personified her wedding vows with her steadfast care of him. It was during this time that she openly shared with all her life philosophy of LIVE LAUGH LOVE. She continued to live this motto after Tom's death in July of 2012 until her last day.

Renee's compassion and genuine care for all was widely known. While she cared for none in this life more than her family, the members of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association always held a special place in her heart. In March of 1995, Reneé began a successful 22-year career caring for the IFDA members on a daily basis, most recently as Administrator. Over that time, she truly became the "heart & soul" of the association. Her calm demeanor, poise under pressure, thoughtful answers, and genuine care during each member experience became her reputation and ultimately, her legacy; a legacy that will be forever remembered as her placing everyone's welfare and happiness ahead of her own, for in giving happiness, she found happiness. IFDA and its members will be forever indebted for the gifts she gave and the sunshine she shared.

Reneé is survived by her son, Justin; her mother, Rosalie Lynch; her father, Ron Lynch; her sister, Rochelle Hoffman (Michael), and her two nieces.
