Robert "Bob" Ruff, 73, of Pendleton, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020.
He was born December 10, 1946 in Union City, Indiana and was a Pendleton resident most of his life.
Bob was a 1965 graduate of Pendleton High School and received an Associates degree from Vincennes University in mortuary science.
He was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. Bob was a member of Huntsville Good Shepherd Community Church, Pendleton American Legion Post 117, Pendleton AMVETS Post 26, Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association, a life member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of multiple motorcycle organizations including MCBDH and the Patriot Guard. He loved animals, enjoyed riding his Harley, and meeting his friends at the local diners for coffee.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jean (Cassleman) Ruff; and his twin Brother, Charles Ruff.
Survivors include his three daughters, Shannon (Steve) Schott, Ginny (Joseph) Shelton and Kathy (Trent) Poole all of Pendleton; eight grandchildren, Cassidy Knowling, Vanessa King, Brianna King, Mavrik Poole, Chaston Gardner, Bekah Snyder, Kai Shelton and Nick Shelton; and two cousins, Jane (Mike) Graham of Bedford and Susie (Wayne) Stewart of Union City.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, 537 N. Pendleton Ave., Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Lahm Chapel.
Due to current COVID-19 mandates, all guests are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
