Roberta "Bobbie" Jean Harris

passed away at her home on October 1, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on September 13, 1944 in Troy, Ohio. She lived a very adventurous life. Bobbie and her husband, Tommy, have been to every state in the USA even Alaska (not Hawaii) and parts of Canada on their Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. They were a part of a motorcycle group called Chapter C in which she was district staff of GWRRA, as a historian for two years. Though she loved to be on the back of the bike with her love. She also enjoyed sewing and playing in the dirt (gardening) as well. She was a wonderful stay at home mother/grandmother. She also was a great champion for the balanced development of white river state park. She was president of advocates for White River State Park, and served as the voice of reason so it would develop as a cultural/educational venue and not a purely sports. Other things she loved to do in her life, was to walk on the beach and feel the waves crashing on the shore. She also loved to watch Ohio State football games and never missed a game. She would even wear Ohio State outfits on days they were going to play. Bobbie was preceded in death by her dad, Robert Epley, her mom, Kay Epley and her two sons, Kevin and Bryon Harris. Survivors include her husband of 59 Years Tommy Harris, daughter, Kasey Harris, grandchildren, Courtney (Stephen) Harris, Jordan (Elena) Harris, Miranda (Troy) Books. Great-Grandchildren Kaydon, Ben, Alexandra, Carolyn, Emma and 9 day old Dylan. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her in her lifetime.

A visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 6 and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday, October 7 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street. A celebration of Bobbie's life will be 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, Indiana.
