Virginia "Ginnie" Mae Wininger, 87, passed away September 19, 2018. She was born May 16, 1931, in Bedford to the late, John Albert & Merle E. (Root) Ford.

Ginnie worked for Western Electric & Ransburg where she hand painted products. She attended Southport Christian Church.

Ginnie was very charismatic and witty, with a contagious laugh. She was a very talented artist who painted and drew. Western-Electric printed an article in their magazine, regarding a beautiful mural of a French street scene that she painted in her kitchen. For many years she was part of the artist community in Brown County.

She is survived by her sisters, Joann Rouse & Mary Ellen Schmidt; nieces & nephew, Cindy (husband, Tim) Culp, Pam (husband, Chris) Aulerich, Karen (husband, Dennis) Trusty, Nancy Walton, and Mark (wife, Shelly) Schmidt; and several great nieces & nephews.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, with visitation an hour prior. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children's Foundation. The family requests that Ginnie's favorite color, purple, be worn in her memory.
